It begins in Tenerife the first International School of Advanced Scientific Instrumentation

Sponsored by the ‘Consolider-Ingenio 2010, First Science with the Gran Telescopio CANARIAS (GTC)’, the school is unique in the world, train astronomers, physicists and engineers in the design and construction of-art scientific instrumentation.
The International School for Advanced Instrumentation (IScAI, for its acronym in English, International School for Advanced Instrumentation) started their training courses in the third week of January with a pilot program. Directed to astronomers, physicists and engineers, this edition has 6 students, many doctors with expertise in the field of astrophysics. chosen from among more than a fortnight of applications that have gone through a strict selection process.
